Frequently Asked QuestionsWhat is pattern imprinted concrete (P.I.C)?P.I.C. is a process of recreating expensive and aesthetically pleasing materials such as cobblestone, slate or tile in various different colours using a high quality ready mixed concrete. What makes pattern imprinted concrete driveways better than other kinds of paving?It is practically maintenance free and lasts longer than any other type of paving. There are no gaps for weeds to grow through - all other types of paved driveways and patios are notoriously vulnerable to weeds and moss. It won't sink. It won't stain - oil and grease, etc just wash away. Colours are 100% UV stable and will not fade as a result of direct sunlight. Non-slip surface. How long does it take you to lay a driveway?For an average sized house, the process usually takes about a week. See our Installation page for more details of what is involved. What sort of maintenance is required?We recommend that driveways are re-sealed every 3 - 5 years to add years to their life span as well as aesthetically enhancing the appearance of your property. How many colours and patterns are available?There are 23 main colours and many pattern designs available we will be happy to visit you to show samples and photographs, and can also provide local addresses where you can see finished examples in a variety of colours and patterns.
